Hello,
My name is Capri C. and I am a first grade teacher in Washington D.C. I have actually never read this book myself or to my students, but the book sound very funny. I remember you all speaking on a wolf and pigs. This is a great way to also introduce the "three little pigs." I specifically chose this podcast to listen to because it was under the dance link and this is great because my students are going on two field trips involving two different dance companies. This would be a great way to start the field trip off, by reading this book.
Thank you,
Capri C.

Chris:

Thanks for sharing your experiences here. We really love this book and we enjoy hearing that others enjoy it as well.

You raise a great question. I wonder if the answer can be found easily. Hmmm...

Esmaya and I really enjoyed this one. There's actually a lot of suspense if you don't know what's coming next. My daughter and wife kept waiting for the Wolf to spring into action at any moment, and the waiting literally goes on for pages. Very well done.

As for fresh looks on old classics, it would be interesting to see just how many wolf/pig retellings there are out there. Especially the 3 Little Pigs.

Thanks,

Chris

Vivian,

I agree. And I also love that stories like these inspire us to read and enjoy the originals in brand new light.

Thanks for weighing in,
Andrea

Hi Andrea and Mark
I love books like this that offer a new take on a familiar storyline. Marshall and Sendak...what a combination right?

Have a good one.
